Ellie’s Tiny Tea Leaves Knit Cardigan

Here is the start of Tiny Tea Leaves.

Startedyoke

It just couldn't be any cuter.  I'm knitting this sweater, which is meant to be Ellie's fall cardigan, in Madeline Tosh's Vintage hand-dyed superwash Merino yarn.  The pattern starts at the yoke, and is knit all in one with raglan sleeves.

Progress on this one is going to be slow, but it's so much fun to knit I'm going to have to make time for it.  There are lots of beautiful examples of this sweater on Ravelry if you want to see it knit up without waiting for me.

P.S. – Make sure you check back in over the holiday weekend as I'll be posting a giveaway for some hand-dyed Elliebelly organic Merino yarn.

  1. The color of that yarn is delicious! Am anxious to see the finished sweater. It is going to be beautiful. I’ve always loved that pattern since it came out but have no specific person to make it for, so have not tried it. Perhaps some day I’ll switch needles and make one anyway. 🙂

  2. Beautiful! I have one in my Queue for my 10 year old with some Madtosh MCN, she requested some modifications, but can’t wait to knit something for her. Thrilled she still wants me to as she gets older!!!! Can’t wait to see how yours turns out!

  3. That awesome yarn reminds me oft the many bright colors of golf balls one can choose from playing mini golf… which is exactly what I’m going to do today!

  4. So lovely! This is one of the patterns I have saved to use for my daughter this fall. I just love it. I have been on a sweater kick lately and seeing yours being knit up makes me want to start mine even sooner 🙂

  5. I found your blog quite by accident! Love the colour you are using for the cardigan, it’s lovely.
